Technological development in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is driving the global economy and playing pivotal role in well-being of the society. With an aim to bolster the research and development in the field of AI, the Department of Artificial Intelligence has been set up at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat in year 2023. The objective of the department is to strengthen education and research in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Social Science, Natural Language Processing, Soft Computing, Computer Vision and allied areas.
Currently, the department offers B.Tech. and Ph.D. programs in Artificial Intelligence. The B.Tech. admission process for academic year 2023-24 will be done through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA 2023. https://josaa.nic.in). Both the programs aim at covering foundational concepts and applied areas of AI to create globally recognized students in Industry and Academia.
