Ms. Rajpurohit Kaushalya G Teaching Assistant in English Area of Specialisation: Poetry, Culture Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Folk Studies and Indian Writing in English Official Email: ta1_2025_dohss@dohss.svnit.ac.in About: Ms. Rajpurohit started her teaching career in 2013. At present she teaches English and Professional Communication to undergraduate students across departments. She holds an MA (English Entire) from the Dept. of English, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. Her research on Rajasthani folk songs has been published with Indian Literature (Sahitya Akademi-JSTOR). Apart from research and teaching, she also has a keen interest in interviews, creative writing and translation. She has done translations for IIT Madras under NPTEL and is actively translating Rajasthani folk songs into English. |

In addition to her teaching career, She is pursuing her Ph.D. specialising in English Language Teaching (ELT) at the Department of English, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU). She holds a Master’s degree in English from VNSGU. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music (B.A.) with Bharatanatyam as her subject of specialisation. Her academic and professional interests also extend to creative writing, particularly short stories and blogs. |

Dr. Gamit Priyankaben Ramanbhai Teaching Assistant in Indian Value System and Social Consciousness Area of Specialisation: Social Management, Education, Tribal Education, Pedagogy Official Email: ta4_2025_dohss@dohss.svnit.ac.in About:Currently working as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, she focuses on creating an innovative and student-centered learning environment. Her academic journey includes a PhD titled “Education and Adivasis: A Comparative Exploration of Ashram Schools and Convent Schools in Gujarat” and an MPhil centered on the unique pedagogy of Ashram schools and their role in supporting Adivasi students. She has also contributed as a Field Investigator for an ICSSR project, “Amrut and Inclusive Urban Growth in Select Districts of Gujarat,” at the Centre for Social Studies, Surat. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes interactive methods, such as group discussions, case studies, and project-based learning, to foster critical thinking and connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. |
