He completed his Post-graduation in English Language Teaching, Bachelor of Education. His teaching experience incorporates a career of more than 10 years of teaching at different institutes. He also holds a diploma in Post-Graduation Teaching Diploma in English from EFL University, Hyderabad. His research area constitutes the Development of Language Teaching, Professional Communication and Soft Skills in English Language Teaching.
Ms. Pallavi Panda (D21EN001) Full-time Institute Research Scholar (FIR) Official Email: d21en001@amhd.svnit.ac.in About: Pallavi Panda is a research scholar at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat. She is currently doing her research under the supervision of Dr. Urvashi Kaushal. Her research area is Gender Studies, and she is doing her research on Masculinity Studies and Literature. She has presented her ideas on gender studies, gender violence, and masculinity studies in many national and international conferences. Her research interests also include Indian English Fiction, Postcolonial Fiction, Film Studies, Graphic Narrative, Comic Studies, and Cultural Studies. She has published papers in journals like Intersections: Gender and Sexuality in Asia and the Pacific and Literary Voice.

She joined the department in July 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Vaidurya Jain. Her research interest lies in the fields of Indian Aesthetics and Mythological Fiction. While having a Master’s Degree from Central University of Haryana, she also holds a diploma in German Language from the University of Delhi.
Ms. Ahana Ganguly (D24EN002) Full-time Institute Research Scholar (FIR) Official Email: d24en002@dohss.svnit.ac.in About: Ahana Ganguly is currently pursuing her PhD from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, under the supervision of Dr. Vaidurya Jain. She has completed her M.Phil from Assam University, Silchar and was engaged as Visiting Faculty in the Department of English, Adamas University, Kolkata, India. Additionally, she has also completed a certificate course on Digital Humanities from the School of Cultural Texts and Records, Jadavpur University. Her areas of interest include Graphic Narratives, Speculative Fiction, Popular Literature, Indian Literature, Cultural Studies, and Postmodern Fiction.

He completed his graduation from the University of Rajasthan and Post-graduation from the Central University of Haryana. His research interests include Indian and Translation literature. In addition to his research, he manages an online book club that allows people to connect with readers around the country.
Mr. Partha Protim Choudhury (DS24EN002) Full-time Institute Research Scholar (FIR) Official Email:ds24en002@dohss.svnit.ac.in About: Mr. Partha is presently pursuing his doctoral research under Dr. Urvashi Kaushal at SVNIT, he explores migration, memory, and trauma in English-language Indian literature. His research interests include gastronomic writing, border politics, refugees, and experiences of exile, focusing on how personal and political narratives shape identity. He has a content marketing and publishing background and engages with LGBTQAI+ discourse and contemporary political movements. He is fluent in five languages and brings a multilingual and interdisciplinary approach to his literary research. He is also learning French and has an interest in dubbing and translation.
Mr. Rakesh Manoj Pratihast (D25EN001) Full-time Institute Research Scholar (FIR) Official Email:d25en001@dohss.svnit.ac.in About: Mr. Rakesh Manoj Pratihast is a Full-Time Institute Research Scholar (FIR) under the supervision of Dr. Vaidurya Jain in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. He has qualified for several national-level examinations, including the UGC-NET (English), GATE (English), and GSET (English). He holds an M.A. in English from the Central University of Gujarat and a Post Graduate Diploma in Translation (PGDT) from Indira Gandhi National Open University. His research interests include Memory Studies, Intermediality, Indian Folk Art, Media and Cultural Studies, and Literary & Critical Theory.
Ms. Saswati Majhi (D25EN002) External Research Scholar (ERS) Official Email:d25en002@dohss.svnit.ac.in About: Saswati Majhi is a part-time research scholar at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, under the supervision of Dr. Vaidurya Jain. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of English at Rai University, Ahmedabad. With two years of teaching experience, she has qualified for UGC-NET twice and also cleared GATE. Her research areas include English Language Teaching, Communicative English, and Anthropocentrism.
