Information

Admissions to SVNIT Surat (now being a deemed university)are granted on the basis of performance in the All India Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture Entrance Examination ( JEE (Main) ) conducted by CBSE, for MHRD, Government of India. Details regarding the exam may be referred to on jeemain.nic.in. Any further admission details will be provided on csab.in.


Post-Graduate Admissions: Admission notification will be given on All-India basis. For admission to PG Programmes, the candidates must have at least 60 percent marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average in the B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent examination (55 percent for SC/ST category) in the respective branch of Engineering. For the PG Programme in Town and Regional Planning offered by the Civil Engineering Department, the candidates with B.E./B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelors degree in Architecture securing at least 60 percent of the marks are eligible for admission. For the PG Programmes in Mechanical Engineering, the candidates with B.E./B.Tech. in Production/Production & Industrial Engineering are also eligible for admission.

    B. Tech. & M. Sc. Admission

    The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to UG degree programmes in IITs/NITs/IIITs/Other GFTIs.

    The website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is http://www.josaa.nic.in.This will be operational soon. All the information related to the admission will be uploaded by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Please visit the website (http://www.josaa.nic.in) regularly for updated information.

    XXIII REMITTANCE OF PARTIAL ADMISSION FEE [For NIT+ system only] (JoSAA 2022 Business Rules)
    At the end of the 6th round of JoSAA 2022, candidates having a provisionally allocated seat (allocated in any round of JoSAA 2022 and which has not been cancelled or withdrawn) in NIT+ system are required to pay the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) from their JoSAA portal during 19 Oct – 21 Oct, 2022 (17:00 hrs).
    Non-payment of the partial admission fee will be treated as a rejection of the offered / allocated seat. Candidates are thus strongly advised to be vigilant and make the payment within the stipulated time.
