Alumni and Resource Generation

Message from Dean

Dr. M. Mansoor Ahammed

Dear alumni, What makes SVNIT so special? The answer is, 'it's students and alumni' who are spreading the reputation of the Institute worldwide. You have achieved a milestone and your inspirational words are expected for our students. We are looking forward for many stay connected programs such as alumni talk as you are the best to motivate.
Before I give my message as Dean ARG, let me have a walk to remember..... I take this opportunity to spot me among the alumni of this institute first and then the employee. Wow, a long journey of 36 years in the premise of SVRCET/SVNIT from a Bachelor student to a Ph D Professor. It was the year 1987, I joined as a first-year student in the Department of Electronics, which was running in the Department of Electrical and with a memorable journey of four years I completed my B.E. in 1991. The same place of Library, the same place of canteen, and the same old Department buildings I witnessed since the years in which the amenities, new constructions of Department buildings and beautifications in the campus went on adding the values in me and my Department. l joined the Department in 1991 as an Adhoc Lecturer and dramatically I got the opportunity to become the permanent faculty in 1993. Since then, I never stopped my journey of teaching. Thousands of students and hundreds of colleagues and a number of Heads/Directors kept my moral boosted always. The journey as a Head of the EC Department, Chair of ICC and Associate Dean (Faculty Welfare) was just amazing as an administrative leader. I got the opportunity to do my Masters and PhD while doing my job here. I did all my career progresshere, so the Institute has become like my second home always with ample of memories...
....and now being the Dean of Alumni and RG, I am very well associated with the annual convention MILAAP 2022. Very glad to become the first female' Dean ARG and I assure my services from the bottom of my heart for my lovely Institute. It is my great pleasure that after Covid '19, again we are fortunate to have the 18thconvention this year, and we shall have good interactions with our alumni. I am happy to share that we have many ways that we interact with the alumni regularly in terms of providing the accommodation in the guest house at the discounted rate, MOA with SVNIT Alumni Association (Management Committee is operative), Alumni awards, partial financial support to extremely needy students etc. Being an alumna I strongly believe that all the alumni have achieved the status due to SVNIT and it is our responsibility to contribute in the growth of this Institute. The Institute is looking for the resource generation/funding for the construction of well-equipped auditorium with all the facility for 2000 seats capacity, Renovation of health centre (old dispensary), Renovation of the food court (old canteen), a swimming pool near SAC in the campus and financial support to needy students. It is my humble appeal to alumni to come forward wholeheartedly and contribute in the Institute development initiatives. We have started the process of making e-Cards for our Alumni to use as an ID for various purposes. We are in the process of sharing the Google form to collect the information from the alumni for Id and to create strong database. Your kind co- operation is expected in the same. Our alumni members are expected to provide support in the placement of our students. Many chapters of SVNIT alumni associations are active in various cities all over India and abroad. We need to join hands for the betterment. The Media Cell of SVNIT is also very active and disseminates the activities of the institute on regular basis on the following pages: Do like, follow and share the pages for better interaction with your own SVNIT and to increase the perception of the Institute:
