• To provide a forum to enable the alumni to keep contact with their alma mater and also with one another. 

• To utilize the expertise and resources of alumni for all-round development of the college. 

• To receive donations from alumni for enhancement of infrastructure facilities in the college. 

• To institute and award scholarships, prizes and medals from the poor and the meritorious students with contributions from alumni. 

• To enhance library and laboratory facilities with the assistance from alumni. 

• To create career opportunities for the present as well as the past student though interaction with resourceful alumni. 

• To organize Seminars, Conferences and Expert Lectures for sharing the knowledge and experience of resourceful alumni. 

• To organize Annual Convention of alumni with social, literary and cultural programmes.  

• To confer honorary awards or other distinctions to distinguished alumni. 

• To utilize the expert services of alumni in academic and administrative reforms. 

Rules and Regulations : -

• The names and particulars of the members will be available in the SVNIT Alumni website. For the present students , the particulars will be kept on the website after passing the final year. examination.

• All the past students of the college will be eligible to attend Annual Convention on payment of registration fee whether enrolled as a member of the association or not.
   

• The alumni of the college who are members of disciplines-wise alumni associations may become life members of the Alumni Association on payment on additional amount of life membership fee.
   

• The discipline-wise alumni associations will cease to exist and the membership fee collected for such association will be deposited with the college under the head of alumni association fund.
   

• The alumni association fund will be maintained by college under separate head of account to which the following shall be credited:
  
  Membership fees received from the present students.
  Membership fee received from the resident and non-resident alumni.
  All money received from the alumni as grants, gifts, donations, benefactions
   

• The money credited to the alumni association fund may be deposited in banks of invested in some manners as the case of other fund.
   

• The expenses to words the activities of the alumni association will be made out of the fund of the association.
   

• The accounts and other relevant accounts of the alumni association will be maintained by the college and duly audited by the auditors while auditing the college accounts.
   

• The Alumni Association may have sub-centers in other city within the country or abroad, for batter co-ordination of the activities of the association.
   

• An executive body consisting of the following members is constituted for smooth conduction of the affairs of the Alumni Association
  
  President : Principal & Secretary, SVNIT
  Secretary : Professor of Training & Placement.
  Heads of the departments
  Professor in charge of Computer Center.
  Chief warden of Hostel
  Professor in charge of Estate
  Professor in charge of academic
  Librarian
  Registrar, Dy. Registrar (Academic) & Dy. Registrar (A/Cs.)
  General Secretary of students.
  One Nominee form each sub-center.
